Whether you are fortunate enough to own a few pieces of antique silverware, or just have some vintage cutlery which you would like to display, here are some very simple ideas. I’m all for simple ideas!
A glass container, a glass cloche and a wooden cheeseboard. Silverware is beautifully displayed, yet easily accessible and free from dust.
All on Show! I have used an antique flour sieve here, but you could use any old, and, or favourite container. Think Granny’s old silver vase, or Mom’s vintage measuring jug.
To display that one special piece, simply combine it with a few other interesting items. Vintage books with their classic red covers are fab props, and a bit of greenery adds a little bit of interest.
For a quirky spin on things, stick oddments of vintage cutlery onto a piece of cardboard, in a frame, and hang it on the wall. Of course, this is not the time to use your precious antique silverware, but if you have a few, old pieces that you are happy to have glued and tarnished, go for it!
